Receiving and Diagnosis of ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease or HIV/AIDS is often extremely traumatic for both the patient and
for the family. Often thoughts about the future, plans, and hopes seem to halt as inpiduals process what this new diagnosis will mean for their lives. Though many inpiduals do extremely well coping with the difficult changes, it is not
uncommon for even the “strongest” of people to realize that there are times in which they feel overwhelmed and in
need of support.
Within my practice, I provide inpiduals with ALS and HIV/AIDS with the support to help them cope with these life changes and overcome feelings of depression and anxiety that often accompany these diseases.
