Following a diagnosis of Heart Disease and Heart Failure, it is common for people to begin to show signs and symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. Though individuals may have never suffered from these types of symptoms in the past, Heart Disease often leads to these uncomfortable symptoms and many individuals are at a loss for how to manage.
Within my practice, I often work with individuals with Heart Disease/Heart Failure to develop new coping skills to overcome feelings of depression and anxiety. I also provide a great deal of education to aid in healthy lifestyle and medical treatment. Individuals with Heart Disease are often relieved to realize that they are not alone in their discomfort and that resources are available.
